Edit and Publish is great for anyone who needs to work more effectively with their assets.
Use Curator’s search functionality and access Curator proxies from within Premiere Pro or After Effects to enhance the creative workflow.
Customers who’ve used Edit and Publish to transform the way they work create up to 4000 Premiere Pro projects through Curator, every year. Some of them have even achieved 50% more creative output than was previously possible.
The Edit and Publish functionality module allows you to create a production that is managed by Curator. When creating a production, valuable metadata is captured so you know when, where, and why the production was created. A template project is automatically associated with your production, making sure you don’t need to go searching for graphics, intros, and sequence settings.
To get the full value from Edit and Publish, we’d recommend combining it with our Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe After Effects Connectors. Depending on the Connectors you choose, Edit and Publish will allow you to do the following:
With Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects connector
- Access Curator and find content to import into your project
- ‘Check out’ and ‘check in’ projects allowing you to take ownership of the project and prevent conflicts when collaborating on projects
- Stream Curator Proxies into your timeline even when the original hi-res files are in archive or a different location. By streaming proxies directly to you there’s no time wasted waiting for proxy files to download to your computer, you can start editing immediately
- Switch from proxy to hi-res content when you’d like to complete a full hi-res edit
- Export a timeline or composition using your local computer with either hi-res or proxy source footage
- Store each version of a project and add a comment when each version is created so you know what changed and why
- Register assets into Curator
- Combined with Curator’s Logging Functionality Module you can import logs as markers on your source timeline and when new logs are created they’ll appear live on your timeline. This is a powerful feature for sports, compliance or content creation productions.
With Adobe Media Encoder (AME) connector
- Export your timeline or composition and conform it using AME running on a powerful server to save time and resources.
- Edit with a proxy timeline and conform with hi-res media. Curator will switch the paths in your project from proxy to hi-res before conforming your edit.
- Edit remotely using proxy content and send your timeline to be conformed by a managed AME instance which is close to the hi-res files.
- Track, manage and prioritize conform jobs using Curator’s job management service.
- Reserve conform capacity for high-priority jobs.
