As of Curator version 3.6.9, when you want to import to Premier Pro a sub clip, you can now mark in- and out-points in Curator for Adobe and directly import this definition to Premiere Pro project bin. This is in addition already existing function of importing sub clips already saved in Curator.

To define a sub clip:

  1. Select the video asset you would like to import a sub clip from, and then select the sub clip import mode button.
  2. A new screen will appear allowing you to define in-points and out-points to be imported as a sub clip. The area selected for your sub clip will appear directly above the video player as a green segment. By default, the entire video will be selected, but the selection area can be altered by adjusting this segment in the following ways:
    1. Dragging and dropping from the centre of the selection area to different points in the video allows you to move the selection area to a different point in the video.
    2. The arrows to the left and right of the selection area can be dragged to the left or right to extend or shorten the area of the selection.
  3. With both the start and end points selected, select Import to bin. A message will appear at the bottom of the screen to confirm that your sub clip has been imported, and your sub clip selection will be added to the bin.
From here, you can open your sub clip.
