Curator provides functionality to compile assets into one collection to further assist your asset management and editing journeys. The purpose of a collection could be:
- Final exports - Compile all completed edits of a production, series, ready for review or completion
- Topic/category - Compile all assets relating to a particular topic
- Edit readiness - Compile all assets into a collection ready to provide to an editor to use for their editing session, rather than the editor having to search for each asset and location.
- Action/task - Compile all assets into a collection to ensure any action/request or task for all of the assets that the collection contains can be submitted just the one time, for the collection (of assets).
Collections are a collaborative area for specific asset review. An asset can be added to multiple collections across different asset management and editing journeys (as described above). (Asset location information) Collections also have metadata applied to them to ensure the collection is searchable (Searching). Collections are accessible depending on the folder they are stored in. Any user can add assets to a collection.
