This guide details how to provide permission to a collection in order to determine who can or who cannot access, revise, edit the contents of and amend a collection.
- A collection is an asset contained in a folder. The folder permission of the collection will determine the permission a user and workgroup have to the collection(s).
From Curator 4.4, removing an asset from a collection requires Write permission on the folder that contains the collection. Earlier versions required Delete permission. Removing an asset from a folder still requires Delete permission.
-
Users only see the assets in a collection that they have permission to view. For example, if an asset in the collection is stored in a folder you can't access, you won't see it in the collection.
