This article explains how to view asset metadata and edit asset metadata to help power your ability to search for and manage assets.
Viewing asset metadata (single selection)
With a single asset selected in the asset pane, you can open the metadata panel on the right-hand side by clicking the Metadata button (not the arrow).

From here:
White highlighted text indicates fields that are selectable and editable.
Use the arrow at the top of the panel to select or filter a metadata view.
Filter metadata names by typing into the search box at the bottom of the panel.
Viewing asset metadata (multi-select)
From the asset pane:
Select one or more assets.
Click the arrow to the right of the Metadata button.
Select Edit Selected from the drop-down menu.

This opens the asset metadata view.

The same filtering and metadata view options are available as in the single-asset view.
A list on the left shows which assets are currently selected for review.
From the asset viewer:
Select the Metadata tab to view metadata direct from the asset viewer:
