Ingesting involves several steps to completion. It's important to understand that the procedure to stop an ingest may vary depending on the current stage of the ingest. This guide outlines each step, though some steps may not be necessary in certain situations.

In any instance, a system administrator must be contacted, as they have access to the administrator clients needed to cancel specific jobs.

Stopping an ingest

  1. Locate the corresponding parent ingest job within the Process Engine Monitor and select 'Cancel.' You may also need to cancel any associated child processes.

  2. Close Curator Connect on the client side. (if using Watchfolder ingest, you can skip this step)

  3. Remove any assets that were created as part of the ingest prior to cancellation - delete assets.
