Archive

Applications this article relates to: Clip Link

Curator version supported from this article:3.0

When configured, Curator can connect to archival systems to store high-resolution content, providing a cost-effective storage solution. Administrators can archive files directly from Clip Link by selecting assets and using a plugin to archive the chosen files.

During the archiving process, metadata is assigned to assets to indicate to users that the high-resolution files are archived and may not be directly accessible via Curator Services. This is typically shown using metadata fields such as Archive:True/False and HiResPath: PathToFile/Removed. Users should be aware of this, as some workflows may require access to the files in storage to fulfill their requests.
