This section will guide you how to Ingest (upload) your files to Curator. Ingesting into Curator is achievable via a standalone software installed on a Windows or Mac - Curator Connect. To begin with, please speak to your system administrator to ensure the software is installed and ingest has been configured.
Alternatively, if you are using watchfolder ingest, refer to this guide (Admins only), or if you are ingesting via Curator for Adobe, follow this guide.
Ingest Destinations
During the ingest process, you will be able to determine the location the file will be ingested to, including the pre-defined format, resolution and metadata. You will not be asked to pre-select any of these requirements. You will be asked to select a destination from a list.
The destination will be pre-configured and defined by your system administrator. The selected destination will determine the metadata requested of you to submit. The destination you choose will be dependent of the type or genre of material you are ingesting. Depending on which destination you choose, this will determine the location the file is ingested to, and the format in which the file is processed into an asset.
