A Curator desktop is an asset management space. The desktop space can be whatever you wish to help you best work through your personal process in managing your assets. You are able to open as many desktop spaces as you wish to help you manage your assets across multiple tasks including:
- Multiple desktops for different searches
- Multiple desktops for different assets players
- Multiple desktops for different assets to sub-clip
- Multiple desktops for different forms of metadata to view or edit
Adding a desktop
Desktops are opened via the tab function. Any additional desktop(s) will be navigated from a tab(s). There are two ways you are able to open a new desktop:
- Selecting a folder/asset in the asset pane will automatically open the asset in a new desktop to ensure you don’t navigate away from your customised search whilst viewing your asset. You’re able to keep your searches and asset players open at the same time.
- Selecting the new tab icon will open a new desktop:
Closing a desktop
Selecting the x icon on a tab will immediately close the desktop that tab is navigating.
Changing between desktops
Multiple desktops can be navigated between the multiple tabs. Selecting an open tab will switch you to the relevant desktop.
