# Importing collections

Importing a collection will import all of its assets to the project bin in a folder named after the collection.

The option to import a collection and all its contents in [the order in which they are sorted](/docs/reordering-collection-items) is also available in Premiere Pro when **Import collections into a sequence** is toggled on in [import preferences](/docs/import-preferences).

**To import a collection:**

1. 2. The collection will be imported. If **Import collections into a sequence** is toggled on in [import preferences](/docs/import-preferences), the contents of the collection will be imported in [the same order they were sorted in](/docs/reordering-collection-items).
