What is Curator Connect?

Updated on June 28th, 2023

Ingesting content is the first and most important step of your workflow. With a reliable and efficient ingest process, you won't have to wait to get started on your projects.

The Curator Connect application allows anyone to register assets quickly and intuitively. Users can open the Curator Connect application on their desktop and simply drag and drop files to be ingested into Curator. They can also add some metadata on ingest so that it’s easy to find their assets later.

Who’s it for?

Curator Connect is particularly useful to users who want to register content from camera cards. It’s designed to make the registration of camera card assets just as easy as any other type of asset, with none of the risks of separating assets that normally come with camera card ingest.

It’s also great for organizations with lots of remote contributors. Because Curator Connect makes it easy for non-technical users to register assets straight from their laptop, it can significantly reduce administrative overheads. Instead of receiving files through lots of different sources and with no metadata, all your remote contributors can deliver content complete with metadata and you’ll be notified when the file you’re expecting has arrived.
