Reviewers work entirely in Clip Link: open the asset, add comments in the review logging view, then set the Status in the Logger header. Your system administrator must have set up and configured Review and Approve in Curator. See [Configuring Review and Approve](/docs/configuring-review-and-approve). Your setup may differ This article describes Review and Approve in its most basic form. Most systems are tailored to the customer's requirements, so the folder names, logging view, fields, statuses and emails on your system may be different from those shown here. Ask your Curator administrator how Review and Approve is set up for you. ## How do I review and approve an asset(s) When an editor exports a sequence for review, reviewers receive an email saying an asset is ready to review. The email comes from a template designed by your team. See below for an example: ![Example review notification email](https://cdn.document360.io/c173e68f-0609-4297-9277-0fc5c6b45db7/Images/Setting/i0197-r21.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T10%3A38%3A25Z&se=2026-10-26T11%3A38%3A25Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=HKntYFIh%2Bv0Jg8Wc7M5A%2F%2FZOI%2FwldFYu4H3lE5fYDCA%3D) 1. Open the asset link in the notification email, or in Clip Link browse to the review folder (for example **Library > Review and Approve > For Review**). 2. Right-click the asset and select **Log asset**. See [Logging explained](/docs/logging-an-asset). 3. In the **Logging** panel, change **Logging view** to the review view (for example **For Review**). 4. Fill in the review fields (for example **Edit Notes** and **Review Comments**), then select **Save**. 5. In the Logger header, set **Status** to **Approved** or **Rejected**. ![Logger with the For Review logging view and the Status set in the header](https://cdn.document360.io/c173e68f-0609-4297-9277-0fc5c6b45db7/Images/Documentation/review-approve-logger-review.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T10%3A38%3A25Z&se=2026-10-26T11%3A38%3A25Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=HKntYFIh%2Bv0Jg8Wc7M5A%2F%2FZOI%2FwldFYu4H3lE5fYDCA%3D) Set the Status last Changing the Status starts the next step straight away. Save your notes and comments first, then set the Status. Within a few seconds, Curator moves the asset to the **Approved** or **Rejected** folder, and the editor who exported it receives an email with the result and your Review Comments. ## For the editor: acting on the result Open the asset from the result email, or [find the asset](/docs/searching-for-assets-1) in the **Approved** or **Rejected** folder. A rejected asset carries the reviewer's comments in **Review Comments**. To start a new review, re-export the corrected sequence to the review export destination. You can still [create an internal hyperlink](/docs/share-an-asset-folder-or-collection) to an asset if you want to share it with someone outside the review process.
