Permissions and configurations already in place may no longer apply once items are moved. #### Steps 1. In **Clip Link**, open the **Folders** panel as described in [Searching and viewing assets](/docs/searching-for-assets). 2. From the asset pane, navigate to and select the folder or asset(s) that you wish to move. 1. To move several items at once, select them all in the asset pane and drag them together into the target folder. 3. From the **Folders** panel, navigate to the folder you wish to move the asset(s) to. 4. Drag the folder or asset(s) from the asset pane into the target folder in the **Folders** panel. You will be able to see the current folder path for the selected item(s): ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c173e68f-0609-4297-9277-0fc5c6b45db7/Images/Documentation/moving folders.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T11%3A19%3A52Z&se=2026-10-26T12%3A19%3A52Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=DDCpGImTPmQsmZyvDTxZnEESq59KpfT%2B79nAoP2kaos%3D) 5. Release the folder or asset into the selected folder. 6. The folder or asset will now appear in the new location, and the folder path will update accordingly: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c173e68f-0609-4297-9277-0fc5c6b45db7/Images/Documentation/moving folders 2.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T11%3A19%3A52Z&se=2026-10-26T12%3A19%3A52Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=DDCpGImTPmQsmZyvDTxZnEESq59KpfT%2B79nAoP2kaos%3D)
