Moving assets between folders

Users with folder permissions can move any type of folder or asset from one folder to another.

Note: Moving assets, folders, collections, productions, or projects may affect other users’ access. Permissions and configurations already in place may no longer apply once items are moved.

Moving assets between folders

  1. In Clip Link, open the Folders panel as described in Searching and viewing assets.

  2. From the asset pane, navigate to and select the folder or asset(s) that you wish to move.

    1. To move multiple items at once, consider adding them to a temporary collection first.

  3. From the Folders panel, navigate to the folder you wish to move the asset(s) to.

  4. Drag the folder or asset(s) from the asset pane into the target folder in the Folders panel. You will be able to see the current folder path for the selected item(s):

  5. Release the folder or asset into the selected folder.

  6. The folder or asset will now appear in the new location, and the folder path will update accordingly:
