Navigate to the settings cog (top right) as per [Adobe panel explained](/docs/adobe-panel-explained) and select **Preferences**: ![preferences.png](https://cdn.document360.io/c173e68f-0609-4297-9277-0fc5c6b45db7/Images/Documentation/preferences.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T12%3A10%3A46Z&se=2026-10-26T13%3A10%3A46Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=1HAjBcBQmwby7KQUdAXpuNKTPI0v91mWUTGk8g%2Bq5B8%3D) 1. Select **Importing** to view the import preferences: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c173e68f-0609-4297-9277-0fc5c6b45db7/Images/Documentation/import preferences updated(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T12%3A10%3A46Z&se=2026-10-26T13%3A10%3A46Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=1HAjBcBQmwby7KQUdAXpuNKTPI0v91mWUTGk8g%2Bq5B8%3D) - **Default import type** - Select either Proxy (lo-res) or Hi-Res - the selected type will be imported by default when selecting ‘import’ in the Adobe Panel menu. You will have the option in the import menu to reselect an option other than the default setting. [How to import assets into an Adobe Project](/docs/how-to-import-assets-into-an-adobe-project) - **Download path** - If you choose to download the asset during import, provide the folder path of where the asset(s) should download to. **Note:** *.mogrt* files are always downloaded on import and will be downloaded to the path specified here. - **Enable live markers** - When enabled, [sub-clips or bookmarks created in Logging mode](/docs/create-a-sub-clip-or-bookmark-in-logging-mode), and [logging](/docs/logging-an-asset) of the parent asset(s), will also create [editor live markers and clip notes on a timeline](/docs/editor-live-marker-and-clip-notes-on-a-timeline) in Adobe Premiere Pro. - **Scale to frame size** - Your sequence frame size may differ to that of one/many asset(s) you are importing. Select if you’d like to automatically scale the asset(s) being imported to sequence frame size. **Curator 4.4 and later:** if you turn this off and scale a proxy clip yourself, the scaling is kept when you swap to hi-res, provided the asset has MediaInfo Video Width and Height metadata. See [Swap the asset stream between lo-res (proxy) and hi-res](/docs/swap-the-asset-stream-between-lo-res-proxy-and-hi-res). - **Import as Premiere Subclip** - When enabled, this will import any sub-clips or bookmarks belonging to the imported selection as Premiere Pro sub-clips. - **Import collections into a sequence** - When enabled, this will [import the contents of a collection](/v1/docs/importing-collections) as a sequence in [order](/v1/docs/reordering-collection-items). - **Metadata** - Imported assets will have one/many [Metadata](/docs/metadata-explained) tags applied. Choose which metadata to import with the asset(s) into your Adobe project. 1. When finished, close the preferences.
