# Download an asset

Assets can be downloaded from the asset pane ([Asset pane thumbnail views](/docs/asset-pane-thumbnail-views)) provided you have [permission](/docs/asset-permissions-explained) to download that asset.

#### Download an asset

1. Locate and right-click the selected asset
2. 3. 4. Your asset downloads to your browser's download location, where you can also follow its progress.
