# Dashboard explained

The Dashboard is your main hub in Curator, giving you access to all web applications, system settings, and administrator tools in one place.

What you can see and access on the dashboard will depend on the [workgroup](/docs/workgroups-explained) you belong to.

- **Web applications** appear in the central pane and will open in a new tab when selected.
- **Administration and configuration options** are accessible from the left menu, and will open in the same window when selected. For example, see [User profile explained](/docs/user-profile-explained), [Clients explained](/docs/clients-explained), [User management explained](/docs/user-management-explained) and [Logging out](/docs/logging-out).
