Curator version supported, from this article:3.3
When using the Curator for Adobe panel, IPV now offers native API support for Macs with M1/ARM processors starting from Curator 3.5. However, some Adobe applications still rely on the CEP extension framework used by Curator for Adobe, which is incompatible with M1/ARM architecture and requires Rosetta to function.
If you’re using a Mac with an M1/ARM processor, you’ll need to use Rosetta to run the following Adobe Creative Cloud applications with the Curator for Adobe:
- Adobe Photoshop 2022 (version 24)
- Adobe Photoshop 2023 (version 23)
This information is accurate at the time of writing. For more details about Rosetta, refer to Apple’s support documentation.
To run Adobe applications using Rosetta:
- Open Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Click the three-dot menu next to your Adobe app and select "Open (Intel)".
To ensure the app always runs with Rosetta:
- Locate the app in Finder.
- Right-click, select "Get Info," and check the "Open using Rosetta" box.
You can verify the setup by starting a new project in your Adobe app and checking that the import, check-in, and check-out functions work as expected.
Note: Initial loading times may be slower when launching Adobe apps using Rosetta, but will normalize after the first load.
Native support for Curator for Adobe on M1/ARM Macs is available starting from Curator 3.5 (Curator for Adobe version 3.3 and above). However, due to the lack of CEP framework support on Mac M1/ARM for Adobe Photoshop, Rosetta remains necessary.
While Adobe’s UXP framework is generally compatible with M1/ARM architecture, it is not yet available for all applications that support Curator, such as Premiere Pro. IPV plans to explore full UXP integration once it becomes available, which would eliminate the need for Rosetta.
