Main limitations in Adobe CC 2026 versions:
Premiere Pro - See Media Encoder note below for information on remote export compatibility.
HEVC export is now manual-only. Adobe have disabled the ability to programmatically export HEVC material from version 25.6 onwards. HEVC export can now only be completed manually through Premiere Pro’s built-in Export menu.
Media encoder 25.6 Onwards - Adobe Media Encoder version 25.6 onwards introduces changes that impact remote export functionality. To maintain compatibility using these versions, you must install Workflows-Edit and Publish - Adobe-1.12.8.0.zip or later on all systems using 4.2 or later. If you require use of Premiere Pro/Adobe Media Encoder 2026 in a system running an older version than Curator 4.2, please talk to IPV Support.
Adobe Media Encoder 2026:
Adobe have made changes where some versions/configurations may experience an issue where CUDA GPU acceleration is unavailable or not correctly selected. This can result in reduced GPU utilisation and slower rendering/export performance.
Audition - New since the 4.2 release. Not compatible with earlier Curator versions.

To ensure compatibility, always use Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder versions from the same release year (e.g. Premiere Pro 2026 with Adobe Media Encoder 2026). Mixing versions from different release years is not supported.
HEVC export is now manual-only. Adobe have disabled the ability to programmatically export HEVC material from version 25.6 onwards. HEVC export can now only be completed manually through Premiere Pro’s built-in Export menu.
Do not use any 25.5 version as Adobe import is broken for these versions.
Do not use 25.0 as “Import to the bin” is not working in these versions due to a bug in the Adobe Premiere Pro API. Importing of sequences is not possible in 25.3 but is working in version 25.4.1 and newer.
After Effects - use After Effects v25.1.0 or newer. Do not use 25.0 or 25.0.1 as “Import to the bin” is not working in this version due to a bug in the Adobe After Effects API.
If you require use of version 25.6 or later of this software in a system running an older version than Curator 4.2, please talk to IPV Support. If the required workflow version cannot be installed, consider remaining on Adobe Media Encoder version 25.5 or earlier.
