# Create a sub-clip or bookmark in logging mode

You can create sub-clips and bookmarks while you log an asset, so you can sub-clip and log in one place. To open logging mode, see [Logging an asset](/docs/logging-an-asset).

If no sub-clips are selected, or you have selected **Clear and new** on the parent asset you are logging with:

1. 2. 3. Select **Save**.
4. A new bookmark or sub-clip will be created in logging mode.
5. Find your bookmarks or sub-clips in the **Sub-Clips** tab.
