# Create a new folder

If you have been provided [permission](/docs/asset-permissions-explained), you can create new folders from within Clip Link.

1. From Clip Link, navigate to the folder path in the Folders panel as described in [Searching and viewing assets](/docs/searching-for-assets).
2. 3. Enter the name of the new folder.
4. Select **Create** to create the folder in the location. Otherwise, **Cancel**.
