# Change your display name

Your display name is how others will recognise you in Curator, appearing in places like metadata and notifications.

#### How do I change my display name

1. Access your [User profile](/docs/user-profile-explained).
2. Select the edit button beside your **Display Name**:

1. Submit your new display name and select **Change Display Name**:

1. Your display name will now be updated.
